Rye Golf Club
Based on the foundation of a historic 18-hole course, Rye Golf Club originally hired Quitno to rectify drainage and wear issues on their greens, many of which were original to the 1920s Devereux Emmet design. Using detailed GPS mapping, hole by hole plans were prepared for expanding, recontouring and draining the greens, including the complete rebuild of two complexes. The practice areas were also rebuilt, including a new undulating 12,000 sf putting and chipping complex that provides a host of fun practice options
With the success of these additions, the club opted to prepare a Long-Term Master Plan for future improvements. The ongoing master plan improvements are focused on recovering some of the lost Emmet design features, while improving several routing deficiencies and upgrading drainage and bunker infrastructure.
