This highly reputed Milwaukee club with ties to the acclaimed William Langford completed a comprehensive facelift under the guidance of lead architect, Quitno. The new bunker scheme sports a deep, flat-bottomed, steep-faced style with placement along strategic diagonals at distances that reflect today’s ball and club technologies. Each green was equipped with 2″ slit drainage and regrassed with several re-contoured or rebuilt to increase usable pinning space. The result of this extensive work is much more consistent maintenance requirements and a considerable reduction in water and chemical input on the new grasses. Currently, QGD is working with the Club again to update the bunkering based off a 2021 master plan, with the goal of introducing modern materials and a new style that will reduce maintenance inputs.
