Blackstone Golf Course, located in the outreaches of Chicago’s northwest suburbs, is the first golf community endeavor for local real estate developer Daniel Weck, who first employed Lohmann Quitno in 1999 to begin work on the project. “After looking at the firm’s other projects—Boulder Ridge, The Merit Club—I knew they were the guys to do Blackstone.” And the firm did not disappoint. Calling on Todd Quitno to lead the project, the par 72, 6700-yard golf course winds through rolling hillsides, mature forests, and 26 acres of indigenous wetlands. During its two decades of existence, Blackstone has continually received high praises from the golfing public, and is annually ranked by Golf Advisor as a Top Courses in Illinois and Best in the US.
